Walmart has rightfully indicated that it plans to invest in the rural market in China and bring consumers the Walmart offering in a low cost base environment.
Cheaper format stores will keep a lid on costs - translating to cheaper cost of products offered direct to the consumer.
Dre Consulting believe that this is the right time to enter the market at grass roots and give all levels of Chinese consumer a balanced and superior retail offering aswell as the economic benefits of local development and investment in rural areas.
